SDPD Lt. Brian Avera is 42 years old and just recently diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Brian’s cancer has spread to his liver and lungs, and he has been given a short time frame to live. Brian’s is a fighter who is seeking aggressive medical treatment to spend more time with his family.

Brian served as Marine having been deployed to Iraq and has been with SDPD since 2006.

Brian has a wife, Hillary, and two young children, who all need our support. These funds will help pay for out-of-pocket medical costs, travel to specialty hospitals, and to allow Brian and his family to spend as much time as possible together.
