Detective Contreras was able to save a life while still dealing with a person with a gun where deadly force was warranted and in most circumstances the only option. With quick thinking Detective Contreras was able to kick the firearm away from the suspect and bring the situation to a close with no loss of life. On behalf of my self and our Chapter board we would like to recognize Detective Contreras on a Job well done.
