On Friday, July 13, 2018, NLPOA Fresno County held their 9th Annual Scholarship Luncheon at Fresno Grizzlies Stadium. The students along with their parents(s) and family members attended the luncheon. Graciela James, Scholarship Coordinator opened the luncheon and introduced Ruben Diaz, President, who spoke about the history and purpose of NLPOA. Lunch was served and afterwards our Guest Speak, City of Clovis Chief of Police Matt Basgall gave a speech to the students and parents. Chief Basgall spoke about furthering their education and giving back to the community upon their completion of school. Upon the completion of the Chief’s remarks, each student received a $1,000 check and a NLPOA Fresno County Scholarship Certificate.
