The 9th Annual NLPOA Fresno County Scholarship Golf Tournament was a great success thanks to our golfers, sponsors and volunteers. Madera Muni Golf Course was the site of our 9th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, which had over 100 golfers. During registration, each golfer has a photograph taken individually or with their team. The photos are courtesy of Island Photography, which are developed and provided to the golfers during lunch time. The Volunteers made it possible to register the golfers within time to get started at 8 AM. After a round of 18 holes, the golfers came in for a great and plentiful buffet lunch. Over 110 gift baskets and certificates in frames were made available for the raffle. Four items were available for a life auction, which included an Autographed football by Quarterback Derek Carr, donated by NAPA; 3 nights in Las Vegas donated by Bancorp Residential; Modelo Dia Del Los Muertos sign donated by Modelo and a 55 Inch SMART TV donated by NLPOA Fresno. Our guest speakers included past Scholarship Recipients, Hannah Ravizza and Valeria Chavez, both attending Fresno State University. They both thanked the golfers for the contributions to their scholarships and told us about how use of their scholarship funds were used. Congratulations go out Joe Ortiz, Golf Coordinator, Rosemary Diaz and Maria Ortiz, Gift Basket Coordinators, and Armando Hindman, Registration Coordinator. Everyone did a fantastic job, which made the event a success.
