Fresno 100th Annual Veteran’s Parade
On Veteran’s Day, November 11th, 2019, the NLPOA-Fresno County Chapter participated in Fresno, California’s 100th Annual Veterans Day Parade through downtown Fresno, Ca. It is now considered the largest Veteran’s Day Parade in the USA. It was viewed by Millions of people over the Armed Forces Network and the National NBC affiliates. Locally, our Parade had hundreds of persons that participated and came from across the U.S. The NLPOA-Fresno County Chapter members who participated were Andrew Guzman-Chapter Vice-President, Angelina Bosniak-Chapter Parliamentarian, Tina Hindman-Chapter Secretary, Armando Hindman-Chapter Community Outreach Coordinator, Israel Aguilar- Chapter Member and Niki Ayala Chapter Member.
We also had the honor of having Ret. USMC Sgt. Jonathan D. Smith ride on one of our trucks. Ret. Sgt. Jonathan D. Smith was an Aviation Airframes Technician who worked on the F-4/F-18 Fighter Jets. He proudly served from 1989-1989. He was stationed at MCAS El Toro, Ca., MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, on board the USS Midway and NAS Cecil Field Florida. He Medically retired in1989.
