Longtime Tulare County Sheriff Deputy and NLPOA Member passes away due to Covid-19
Please remember Frank (Franco) Holguin in your prayers he passed away this past Wednesday afternoon from Covid-19. Our most sincere condolences to his wife Barbara and family, may he rest in peace. We have had numerous members throughout the country infected and several members have died. Please, please use your mask everywhere you go.
Franco was a 20 year veteran of law enforcement having been employed by the Tulare County Sheriffs Department as a Deputy Sheriff. He is pictured with his Granddaughter Rose. Franco was a Veteran and member of American Legion Sierra Post 785 in Visalia. He also was a long time member of NLPOA Central Valley Chapter, his father Francisco (kiko) Holguin and Uncle Henry Holguin, both deceased, were also members of the chapter and Honorably Retired California Highway Patrol. The following day after Franco’s death, Governor Newsom ordered the flags to be flown at half mast in Franco’s honor. The Central Valley Chapter, on behalf of the National NLPOA, wish to thank Tulare County Sheriff Boudreaux and members of his department for escorting Franco home from Fresno as well as for extending all honors due to an outstanding law enforcement officer.
