Gun Raffle for Officer Kerrie Orozco

Members,

In less than a week after the memorial activities in DC, It is with great sadness that I report the loss of one of our NLPOA members. Today at approximately 1300 hours, officer Kerrie Orozco, 29, Badge# 1969 died at Creighton University Medical Center after being shot while serving a warrant. The suspect was also killed in the exchange.

Kerrie is also survived by her husband, a new born child of three months, and two step children whom she loved very much. She was an active member in the community through the NLPOA and loved by all.

The National will begin to collect money to help the grieving family with expenses. Please, check with your local chapters if you wish to donate. Collections will conclude at the National Conference in Miami. We will also be sending representatives to the funeral.

Please reach out to our members in the Omaha Nebraska chapter, and say a prayer for the fallen officer and her family.

God Bless,

Andrew P. Peralta
National President – NLPOA
