We are proud to announce the promotion of David Guerra of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department to the rank of Captain. Captain Guerra began his career as a young Detention Service Officer and, through perseverance and dedication, successfully advanced through the ranks. His achievement is especially noteworthy, as all promotions are earned through a highly competitive and rigorous testing process—not by appointment.
Captain Guerra is a Lifetime Member of the National Latino Peace Officers Association (NLPOA). He has served on the Texas State Board and as President of the Dallas County Chapter. He remains a strong and dedicated supporter of the NLPOA.
